OpenAI condenses API rate limit tiers to Build, Launch, and Grow, cutting top tier threshold to $500

OpenAI has restructured its API paid usage tiers to simplify qualifying for higher rate limits. The previous five paid tiers are now consolidated into three: Build, Launch, and Grow.

Under the new structure, qualifying for Grow, the highest tier, requires $500 in total API payments. This lowers the qualification threshold from the $1,000 previously required for the highest tier.
